Lee Traynor and Kiwi V

Kia ora!

Ko Lee ahau.

I have visited New Zealand on and off for the last 40 years (with 34 of those being off). On recent trips to the country I have taken my love of travelling, tramping (hiking), and photography to new heights, and have documented the most recent journey as a blog, and as a richly illustrated book, Journey to Te Wai Pounamu, available internationally where all good books are sold, and via amazon: the paperback for €43.90; the kindle version is somewhat cheaper, but much less impressive.

In real life I am a lecturer in Technical English at the Centre for Applied Languages at the Leibniz University Hannover, and can be contacted there:

Kiwi V is the blog to the 2015 trip to the North Island of New Zealand, at first detailing plans and preparations for the trip, later publishing detailed diary entries of how it worked out. Publication schedule is Tuesdays and Fridays at 1200 UTC.

The goal is to publish a book with this title in 2016.

A note on prices mentioned in the blog: These were, of course, only valid on the day I visited the attraction, ate at the restaurant or stayed at the hostel/camp site/DOC hut/host, and are outside of my control. As I had a BBH card and obtained discounts (both ordinary and special) at their hostels, the surcharge for non-cardholders is given as “+ $3” e.g.
